Decapod Claw :: Necrocrab Re-Sequencing Error (Toast & Jam, CDr)

Ever wonder what would happen if a robotic invasion of sound decided to land on earth? Would there be electrons flowing from left to right, or might there be analog splashes of rhythm falling from the edges? Well, with Jesse James (a.k.a. Decapod Claw), all is possible. For a debut full-length release, Decapod Claw pulls all the synthetic strings of life from his home base in Portland (Oregon) and rattles our ears with his electrically magnetic frequencies. Such a fresh recording could not have come at a better time. With all the digital meanderings from musicians who seem to lose focus in their collection of software programs, Jesse James is proud to make his music from a history of collecting synthesizers and (physical) equipment. When you have these tools mixed with a talented and creative individual, the results are usually astonishing. Such is the case with Decapod Claw’s aggressively intact musical structures.

Necrocrab Re-Sequencing Error introduces slippery layers of times past with futuristic micro tweaks and a vividly digestible vibe. Decapod Claw has previously released a split 12″ on Portland’s Outward Music Company and is currently about to unleash a split 7″ with David Chandler (a.k.a. Solenoid) later this year on Toast & Jam. We’ll be waiting patiently for this “synth-metal” release, but in the meantime, Necrocrab Re-Sequencing Error is highly recommended for those looking for dark and robust electro blended with cinematic tendencies.
