A complex and tumultuous collection making for some of the heaviest and disjointed compositions we’ve heard from the ever-enduring Evel enterprise.
Rhythmic layers of off-kilter electronics
Originally created for the Audrey Large exhibition, Celestial Proceedings, hosted by Nilufar Gallery at Milan Design Week 2023, there are seven scorched tracks that split open to form Golems making Golems. Somaticae & Fuc Lerrari investigate fragmented blips, bleeps, and Morton Subotnick-like roots in these angular semi-musique concrète and sci-fi structures; entangling each track in rhythmic layers of off-kilter electronics. Both sonic sculptors offer vintage soundtrack infusions and sandblasted assortments of noise and sparks floating into the periphery of glitch-industrial, experimental, and synth-swelling slabs. Golems making Golems, as a result, is a complex and tumultuous collection making for some of the heaviest and disjointed compositions we’ve heard from the ever-enduring Evel enterprise.
