This album is fresh, colorful, and flush with innovative ideas that are recommended for lovers of challenging IDM, microhouse, motorik electro musik, as well as kinetic abstract ambient minimalism and ascending romantical piano music.

Taroug is an eclectic, crossover music project found of electronic/modern classical pads with subtle vocal arrangements. It has been formed by percussionist and sound designer Tarek Sarroug, based in Düsseldorf. With great compositional skills and with an array of chordal patterns and percussive sounding ritualism, Troug offers an intriguing, complex, and inner journeying post techno-ish ambient experience with pronounced oriental influences, ethno-ritual beats next to serenely meditative waving escapism.

The orchestration on Darts & Kites provides lush atmospheres and thrilling sound scintillations where traditional instrumental archetypes meets modern equipment; this hybrid of styles and multifaceted approach about to reuse more classical instruments with a more sonic sounding electronic background can be heard in albums by Jacaszek. However, here the emphasis is put on deeply processed oriental consonances which meet modern electronic pop culture with a chilling spaced-out vibe. The vocal sequences beautifully envelop the ensemble with a vaporous melancholic quality.

This album is fresh, colorful, and flush with innovative ideas that are recommended for lovers of challenging IDM, microhouse, motorik electro musik, as well as kinetic abstract ambient minimalism and ascending romantical piano music. This album proves once more that Denovali is always in search of new talents and adventurous sound explorations which process to a fruitful fusion between jazzy experimental avant-garde / ambient leanings and playful musical ambitions. Recommended new release for fans of Burial, Oval, Shalabi Effect, and The Orb.
