Let me first say that this is the kind of electro I’ve been craving for quite some time now. Lectromagnetique, the name behind this highly penetrative sound, is a Ukrainian native who has remained devoted to his music despite the horrors that surround him. I can only speculate on whether what I am hearing in “Investigation” depicts solidarity for his motherland. The sound is unapologetic, defiant, and merciless. The beat is transfixing and leaves you with no choice but to submit to its bass-infused groove. This is a phenomenal artist from the Bass Agenda roster who stays true to the sound of dark electro in its purest form. “Core” is the following track that feeds my electro appetite. Now, I consider myself fortunate to appreciate the electro sound. There is a moment where the continuous beats melt into a short silence, but you just know there is more ahead. With this drum-heavy track, Lectromagnetique has the ability to enthrall his listeners.
