Everything on Dimension Beasthas a free flowing live feel to it, is very spontaneous sounding and lends a refreshing new take to all these elements. It’s a bit like if you buried all your Global Underground albums in the backyard and then one day found a carnivorous insect eating plant growing from it—is it an improvement? Maybe!

The clash of IDM and obvious trance and EDM melodies is done at breathtaking pace and with a thorough amount of mangling until the performance overshadows the actual elements themselves. There’s no getting around the obvious influences in this album, but the clever and unpredictable arrangements are, to me, a fresh new take on classic ideas and great fun to listen to.

Dimension Beast is available on Inpuj. [Bandcamp]
