[Release page] A busy 2012 has seen Radioactive Man deliver two vinyl EP’s on the WANG Trax imprint alongside excellent long player Waits & Measures—now re-repackaged for double vinyl release with plentiful remix action from Carl Finlow, Mark Archer, Al Tourettes, Posthuman and many more.
Carl Finlow tackles “All Along” with an excellent low slung spacey electro frug—surrounded by gorgeous Motor City style melodic synth work. Mark Archer’s take on “Gugs” is an equal highlight—driving bouncing melodies across that soul crushing deep hovering bass to provide a warped 4am Man with the Red Face vibe. Detroit’s DJ Stingray re-assembles “Incoming” into a minimal electro / tribal maelstrom—pulsing synapse tweaking synths combine with obscure percussion for that in the thick of the dance sound. The Kitbuilders remix of the same track is well worth a check too—laced with 303 and a disturbed air of fright night. Posthuman slow the tempo on their version of “Gugs” spinning gorgeous otherworldly melodies around the original theme underpinned with a lollop of a break—smashing stuff.
