Nemerov :: Automated Dances (EXILES)

Budapest-based Nemerov returns to EXILES for a five pack mini album that treads heavily on FM synthesis, sporadic glitch clicks, and rhythmically skewed atonal noises.

A baffling assortment of sparks and flashes

Budapest-based Nemerov (aka Gabor Gyulai) returns to EXILES for a five pack mini album that treads heavily on FM synthesis, sporadic glitch clicks, and rhythmically skewed atonal noises. Each piece seemingly an extension of its adjacent counterpart, the tangled blips, bleeps, and electrical discharge from Automated Dances finds its way via exploratory means, often taking the scenic route where flickering sounds and cascading rhythms break apart only to magnetically attract. The influx of broken beats and misshaped electro formations forms a gelatinous electronic stew and yet everything begins to condense and make sense on the closing “AD06” where the summation of its parts gravitate toward rhythmic, modular, and flowing abstract-electro. A baffling assortment of sparks and flashes that collects a myriad of electrons—managing to expand, contract, and manipulate a glitched-out soundscape. Recommended for fans of early Lexaunculpt, Phoenecia, and Quinoline Yellow.
