[Release page] Best consumed as a whole rather than its individual parts, Multiplied Phoneme by Monoiz is a static buzz-infused collection of definitive electronics—a powerful series of energy bursting beats and shifting noise. Each piece emits a texture composed of mechanical basslines, robotic clicks’n skips and a continuous stream of digital crackling tones. Perhaps intended as a non-interrupted flow, each track segues into each other while retaining their own identity. “Multi_ENFX” is just one of the highlights—its dub rhythm, contracting highs and pulsing swirl of style mutates gracefully along its trajectory. “Multi_Micron” follows similar construction, albeit in a much shorter time frame. “Multi_Flame” transports the eyes and ears to a tranquil place filled with ambience, low-lights and an Access To Arasaka landscape—extraterrestrial electronics with a heartbeat. One can easily hear the sonic buzzing simmering in the background of almost each track—mind altering, engaging and filled with minimalism and mechanized melodies. Monoiz creates spheres that transform, conjoin and melt into the horizon unknowingly. While the high-pitch synth strands may pierce the ears occasionally, Crazy Language continue to unearth experimental music that reaches into uncharted realms of digital frenzy and analog solace. Fans of Raster-Noton should easily accept this one into their music libraries.
