Mnemonic :: Result no. 7 (Halbsicht)

An album that offers grainy electrical bits and minuscule bytes—both upbeat and downbeat—venturing into experimental arcade-styled themes.

Eerie, 8-bit modular blips and bleeps unfold on “Small Matter” as dusty synth particles cascade in harmonic bliss. Glitches and switches spread all about, Mnemonic sends melodic transmissions akin to Skanfrom, built from analog music boxes and dangling patch cables swinging in unison on his aptly titled 7th album. “Bleiglanz” contains a mysterious haunted electrical pulse, bass thumps and fractured rhythmic beauty.

Result no. 7, and its Twilight Zone aura, sheds a post-IDM / gothic shell as theremins and swarms of low-end bubbles migrate around sonic reconstruction (ref. “Simple Man,” “Skepticism” and “Catharsis.”) An album that offers grainy electrical bits and minuscule bytes—both upbeat and downbeat—venturing into experimental arcade-styled themes.

Result no. 7 is available on Halbsicht. [n5Mailorder]
