Gore Tech :: Pulse Tundra EP (Ohm Resistance)

Deeply conceptual—conjuring time, space and even extraterrestrial life, exploring feelings that are intensified to the point of wildness, with the purity of spirit.

Both imaginative and futuristic

According to the press release, it’s been a while, but now we have the return of Gore Tech with a new EP.  “It’s not the “newest Gore Tech”—but another side of multidimensional personality. Gore Tech, like a skilled psychologist, takes all the emotions and puts them in the way they’d resonate with every single listener.” And it’s absolutely true. Presented in three parts, this release is both imaginative and futuristic.

“Part I – Vibex Divide,” is a metallic expansion of vibrational soundscape—deeply haunting, with its evocative female vocal set against occasional lone piano notes offering dark and dissonant tones. With a ghostly and tantalizing edge, its depths are expansive; an endless damp chamber of stark reverberations. “Part II – Palaeotronics,” presents the notion of a parallel universe. Where “Part I” delivered a psychological thriller, this is the calmer cousin that’s not altogether predictable, but builds with less darker connotations, punctuated with its joyous and sometimes dissonant music-box styled chimes.

“Part III – Pulse Tundra,” opens with a deep and steady pulse of bass and although surrounded by regal soundscape, it’s as menacing as a vision of dark gathering storm clouds overhead. Its accompanying atmospherics continue to color the soundtrack throughout, with its daring and exploratory personality. A swarm of killer bees and the sounding of its own internal alarm conjure a truly sci-fi vision.

In summary, it’s a deeply conceptual—conjuring time, space and even extraterrestrial life, exploring feelings that are intensified to the point of wildness, with the purity of spirit.
