Swirling electrical signals floating in the upper atmosphere
Late July 2024 saw the release of Armagideon Machines, a EP consisting of five tracks of ethereal and swirling electrical signals floating in the upper atmosphere. The EP opens with “Preliminality,” a calm overflow and fragile time capsule to lose yourself in, including rolling acoustics, pulsing ambient sparks, and micro-dub aesthetics. While “Structure” chugs along with a roughened and slow-motion industrial techno shell, “Skanking” features more rugged downtempo rhythms and waves of instrumental refinement, all while retaining its background glitch and fluid dub dynamics. “Reiterational,” the EP’s closing piece, is a mind-altering and turbulent sonic journey of epic proportions, while the title track rummages through bass-laden and dystopic-ambient fissures.
