Kuro 03 is the third installment of a constantly evolving nine-part Rednetic digital series by Cyan341 (aka DJ, producer, and label operator Mark Streatfield). This sonic trip explores the depths of ambient, dub techno, and dub music. A new release will be made available every week, for nine weeks. Tracks, artwork, and a QR code unlocking special, time-limited bonuses including exclusive tracks, remixes, stems, animations, and more, are included in each download bundle.
Kuro 03 includes the tracks “A” and “B” floating through thick air filled with marijuana smoke; shifting glitch morsels and smooth dub/reggae soundscapes. Halfway through, “A” begins to break down, its hum evolving into softer echoes of itself—leading us through hypnotizing riddims until that point. “B” maintains a minimal dub-techno twist and a skeletal tone that gradually intensifies minute by minute before settling into a looping, hallucinogenic beat that the song masterfully holds onto until the very end.
