A fluid amalgamation across various beat related genres

Introducing Baltimore’s Colloboh—experimental producer Collins Oboh. Born in Nigeria, raised in the DMV, and now at 26 years of age, Colloboh asserts himself as a no-nonsense contender of electronic music composition utilizing modular synthesizer. Entity Relation is a 5-track EP available on Leaving Records that will certainly be doing the rounds for years to come.

Without a stutter, this is perhaps one of the most promising debut EPs I have heard in a long time. What Colloboh does over the course of 25-minutes is showcase an incredibly confident display in sonic arrays that has hit the ever so sweet spot of headphone listening and club system transients.

Appreciating track “Borderline,” the zestful layering that introduces captivating improvisations over the smooth filtered LFO synth running behind the scenes throughout is utterly sublime. Each track also carries its own rhythmic divinities; a sophisticated approach to IDM traits, whilst nodding to Colloboh’s roots. Listening to tracks “RPM+,” and “one2MANY,” there is a fluid amalgamation across various beat related genres that will undeniably have your body moving.

It is worth mentioning the summer single, Zero Day, that does not feature on this release. Proving that this is not just a one-time thing, Colloboh is ready to take the world by storm. Leaving Records is also home to the likes of Naliah Hunter, Ana Roxanne, Mndsng, and Dntel.
