A collaborative process at its core, Between sees Taylor Deupree and Stephen Vitiello combine sonic forces where “voice, clarinets, drums, piano, guitars, found objects, and field recordings” blend in sweet harmony. Between these ethereal musical pathways, predominantly ambient in nature, one can find solace and a sense of tranquility buried just beneath the topsoil. Between is a rotating collective of artists that began in 2012 one night at old ryokan in Kyoto, Japan. It is collaboration that brings artists, stories and memories together acutely distilling the essence of 12k’s mission and aesthetics into one project.
