The Prodigy album The Fat of the Land was released 25 years ago, making rave music a global phenomenon, and dominating the charts; today is the 25th anniversary of the album’s release. A limited edition 2LP silver 12″ vinyl bundle of the original album with Alex Jenkin’s artwork reworked, as well as a new remix of “Firestarter” by drum and bass pioneer Andy C. are among the two-anniversary releases XL Recordings is releasing in commemoration. Both are available for pre-order starting today and will be released on November 4th.

The Fat of the Land, the third studio album by Prodigy, debuted at number one on album charts throughout the world and has since sold over 10 million copies. The album’s first single, “Firestarter,” featured Keef Flint on vocals for the first time and was accompanied with a breakthrough video shot deep beneath the streets of London by Walter Stern.
The Prodigy will perform a string of live shows in England in July as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations. After ten sold-out shows throughout the country, including three nights at the O2 Brixton in London, the tour concludes. Visit theprodigy.com for more information.
