It’s not every year that a major new electronic music festival is born, but 2013 marks the inaugural year of the Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit, held in Asheville, NC. The festival’s producers previously organized Moogfest for the last three years, and have assembled a lineup of over 50 musicians performing across multiple venues during the 3-day event. Headliners include Nine Inch Nails, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Neutral Milk Hotel, Animal Collective, Cut Copy, Gary Numan, Tricky, and the Orb. Other performers will cover a wide variety of different musical styles, making this one of the most interesting and best-curated electronic music festivals in the US. Mountain Oasis will also offer daytime panels, a synth meet organized by Trash Audio, and more.
