    THE LABEL ::

  • Audiobulb Records are based in UK but hold a global artist roster – brought
    together under the banner of exploratory electronic music. The term
    exploratory invites artists to create without the restriction of having to
    stay within a specified territory. Our focus is quality, detail, intricacy
    and emotionality within electronic music. The sounds from our artists
    embrace glitch and groove, IDM, environmental ambience, microsounds and
    idiosyncratic dance beats.

    THE HISTORY ::

  • The label is run by David Newman who met many of the artists over a two-year
    period whilst he was seeking and sharing technical information about sound
    design and composition on internet message boards. Relationships were formed
    and musical creations shared and at this point David realised that he had
    the opportunity to nurture a wealth of young raw talent (the average age of
    our artists is 23 years). David spent nine months setting up Audiobulb
    Records. The label has successfully developed a fan-base and received
    critical acclaim via a number of free to access mp3 releases. Switches is
    the first commercial release and seeks to further explore the territory of
    our sound.

    THE ALBUM ::

  • Switches includes tracks from 14 of our artists packaged together in one
    compilation album. Complex, beautiful and disturbing – each track acts as a
    unique switch bringing new elements of audio exploration to the listener’s
    experience. Details of all 14 switches can be found over the page.

    The album comes complete with a four-page booklet containing the complex,
    beautiful and disturbing art of Curet A. (aka Disastrato). His dissected
    insects and imposed wiring typify Audiobulb’s style as a place where natural
    and artificial worlds merge to form a creative hybrid.

    One-minute track samples from some of the works have been made available on
    the releases page @ www.audiobulb.com. The album is

    available for
    purchase via the website which takes secure credit card transactions. UK
    customers can purchase the CD via Amazon.co.uk.

    EXPLORATORY ELECTRONIC EXPOSURE ::

  • We are a relative new comer competing with many established and start-up
    labels. At Audiobulb we are convinced we have the quality to build on our
    reputation and commercial viability. With more compilation releases planned
    as well individual releases from He Can Jog, Diagram of Suburban Chaos and
    Build we will be one to watch.
