Music community and label A Strangely Isolated Place has been going from strength to strength since inception five years ago and now represents a vast treasure trove of ambient and electronic music from across the globe. Highlights include superb ASIP curated mixes from the likes of Nick Warren, Helios and Marsen Jules alongside unique projects such as The Places Series where artists are invited to submit music inspired by their own strangely isolated place.
Following this theme is a current venture into crowd funding a physical release—a first for ASIP. Uncharted Places sees 18 artists take existing Places Series tracks and re-imagine them. The result is over two hours of music which, if crowd funding goes as plan, will end up on limited edition vinyl and CD. Tracks and remixes are included from artists such as Herbstlaub, Markus Guenter, Parks, Audioglider and Echaskech.
