The dub phenomenon strikes again with a new record.

Dub Spencer & Trance Hill :: Physical Echoes (Echo Beach)

Dub Spencer & Trance Hill released its eighth album a couple of days ago via the mighty Echo Beach—the band’s home label for the past nine years. With Physical Echoes we get the band—Marcel Stalder (bass), Julian Dillier (drums), Markus Meier (guitar & vocals), Philipp Greter (keyboards, organ, melodica, dubs & production)—in a different mode. A more psychedelic mode, a trance-inducing mode. In fact, anybody familiar with drummer Julian Dillier’s excellent Tratosphere project with bassist Thomas Tavano and keyboardist Peter Stierli will feel right at home within the busy hallucinogenic depths of the seven tracks stitched to the two sides of the LP (comes with a CD containing the full album + four bonus tracks).

From the press release: “Their love of minimalist electronic dance music with epochal endings and with a clear focus on the eye of the DUB reaches a climax on Physical Echoes. The album grabs electro, ambient and dance and takes them for a ride on the horizontal axis, adding roots on the vertical.”

Physical Echoes is available on Amazon.de/uk/us. For more info visit DS & TH’s home page.
