Disjointed data slivers, fractured melodic breezes, microscopic chants, rhythmic mechanics, weaving low-end glitch, modular buzzing, broken beats and crumpled downtempo all seem to converge on this self-titled sonic smorgasbord.

Disjointed data slivers, fractured melodic breezes, microscopic chants, rhythmic mechanics, weaving low-end glitch, modular buzzing, broken beats and crumpled downtempo all seem to converge on this self-titled sonic smorgasbord. Offered on a multimedia, recycled outer shell USB flash drive housed in a static sleeve, there’s plenty of wiggle room on these oscillating slabs. An assortment of leftfield danceable maneuver’s are spread all around, as JWS confounds listeners from one side of the spectrum to the next.

There’s just so much more to consume.

Electrical bits and bobs intertwined with semi-acoustic instrumentation are molded into odd shapes, indescribably captivating and yet it all blends into a myriad of tangible exp-electronic distortion and bliss. Where JWS’s inspiration comes from is up in the air, quite literally, as there are no set rules from start to end. For a shape shifting platform, this Colorado-based artist easily expands, expounds and extracts the finest rhythmic audio mulching and tangled musical spheres and also offers visual peripherals to offset the music in the form of bonus videos.

JWS is available on Bandcamp.
