Going Thru Life :: Compilation (Delsin)

Abstract ::

Since the beginning Delsin strives for soul and innovation in abstract dance music. This is not
going unnoticed through the music world. Although officially around since 1996, in 2000 gears
were shifted which resulted into eight vinyl releases and this first cd-only compilation album.
Every release had it’s own impact. CiM’s Service Pack is already been called a “classic in the
electronica genre”, Aardvarck impressed all beat scientists around the world, while Lucky&Easy’s
sixteen minutes long epic ‘Puddled Up’ impressed by bringing back sweet memories to Plaid and
Black Dog’s best days. Norken’s release made it to one of the choices of the month in German’s
Groove magazine, as Peel Seamus last single did in UK’s iDJ. Now with this cd-only compilation
Delsin wants to bring their music to a broader audience. An audience which goes for smooth,
soulful electronic music.. where beauty, innovation and creativity are still the keywords. And with
upcoming releases by Keith Tucker (as Optic Nerve), Deepart, CiM a.o. and albums by Ross154,
Aardvarck and Lucky&Easy the future for Delsin looks in that tradition quite alright!

    last category, and is the first to step out in public on the Delsin-compilation. This together with a
    M>O>S – EP freshly being waxed at Amsterdam’s Rushhour Recordings label.

  • CiM ::
    .. is Simon Walley from London. His Service Pack release was a big success, had to be repressed
    twice, and was praised by Mixmaster Morris, Andrew Weatherall among others. The release also
    caught the attention of Clair (ex-Clear co-runner), resulting in releases for her new deFocus label,
    including last summers very successful Reference album.

    “The best electronic music is a mysterious commodity. At it1s most fundamental, it1s about puncturing the silence of our everyday lives with ruptures of exotic, synthetic noise … at once erotic, inspired and seductively alien.

    But the best electronic music is also about space – both outer and inner compelling ellipses and arcing lacunae which conceal worlds eager for exploration. A limitless terrain of precisely beautiful emotions, deep thoughts and irresistible
    grooves.
