Kemek 'Ultimately Always Remixes'

Kemek Referred to as UA2, Kemek receives remix treatments based on his 2011 EP of the same title. Five alterations retaining the original’s translucent dynamic leaves Kemek in a good space—quite literally—filled with crossing wires, microscopic shifting and breezy ambience. Rustling’s “Out of the Woodwork” reflection maintains a flowing instrumentation that meanders through thick forests of calm. Asymmetrical Head’s electrical windstorm featured on “Triangulum Emission,” perhaps the most diverse of the bunch, redirects its rhythm to include broken beats, sprawled bass and digitally manipulated construction. Kemek’s acoustic version unravels an abundance of piano extracts that seemingly fall from the sky and land with controlled beauty. Melancholic ambience flourishes on the “Maryann” remix (delivered under Kemek’s own name—Adam Douglas) that weaves subdued strands filled with utter sincerity just as Qulfus’ closing drone-space paints a sonic blur of atmospheric pulses, alien-induced tweaks and subtle amoebic formations. Predominately a beatless affair—Rustling and Asymmetrical Head not included—Kemek’s latest name your price download is a weightless body of work that deserves as much attention as it draws in.
