FMcontrol :: Genetic Control Frequencies (Crazy Language)

Deconstructed morsels slide across the spectrum with robotic efficiency, slowing then speeding up in momentum just as generators spice-up acidic tones, twisted beats and waffling snips’n snaps

FMcontrol

Digital scribbling, extraterrestrial activity and random clipping aligns FMcontrol (aka Fabio Minardi) with like-minded musicians such as Richard Devine, Shapeshifter and the rawness of Not Breathing mingling with Squarepusher. Yes, these explorations are pretty convoluted to say the least.

Technically accelerated rhythms are offset against mechanical moods swaying from left to right. Splicing glitch next to slivers cascading around electric flows, each piercing nugget boils-over in a thick soup of genetically controlled frequencies. Deconstructed morsels slide across the spectrum with robotic efficiency, slowing then speeding up in momentum just as generators spice-up acidic tones, twisted beats and waffling snips’n snaps. Seven distinctive tracks has Genetic Control Frequencies reigniting broken machines fueled with crunched-out patterns that are seemingly frozen in time.

While this twenty-four minute escapade spilling voltaic turbulence weaves through the cosmos, its visual allure materializes courtesy of Sarge Grafx‘s engaging cover art. Abstract audio-architecture and disjointed percussive synthesis may be this extended player’s strong point, however, its overarching theme of complex landscapes keeps the entire package intact and unusually appealing.

Genetic Control Frequencies is out now on Crazy Language.
