Salt takes the delicate mixture of acoustic instruments such as viola, violin, piano and guitar combined with subtle electronics to the next level. The new album is both a remarkable departure and at the same time sheds a new yet reassuring light on Hansen’s work and creativity.
The instruments are not electronic and have a reasonable calming feeling, nothing frantic or challenging, inviting the listener to just relax and enjoy this part of the afternoon.
To put the German band Saroos on the listening map, one only has to mention a couple of names: the Notwist and Morr Music.
