Weldroid :: Turgeoncellsil EP (Kahvi)

Turgeoncellsil gravitates towards precision post-industrial spaces, allowing just enough oomph to ease the listener into Weldroid’s sonic arsenal.

Weldroid delivers five sharpened cuts for Kahvi via the Turgeoncellsil extended player. Overcast skies, crisp electronic beats, and a penchant for dark industrial strands can be found on “Surface”—an undulating thin ambient sheet rests firmly in the background as it fuels the track. “Hostile Space” and “A New Planet” follow similar trajectories, emotive synth treatments and hard punching beats are wrapped around a powerful rhythm. “Substation 5” veers into abstract terrain, static pulses surrounded by far away clicks and cuts as it drifts away in a brisk 3-minutes. “Lifeforms” is perhaps the brightest of the lot, its chugging drums, melodic shuffling, and flickering glitch keeps everything in constant motion. As a result, Turgeoncellsil gravitates towards precision post-industrial spaces, allowing just enough oomph to ease the listener into Weldroid’s sonic arsenal.

Turgeoncellsil is available on Kahvi.
