Buried with brittle and bumpy industrial shards
As if creating music from another plateaux, Onepointwo’s Synchronization is seven tracks of blissful and sparse electronics. Noisy, nostalgic, and nocturnal, it’s as if Konstantinos Giazlas has unearthed fragments from the Earth’s crust, then tosses them several light years away. A computer malfunction apparently gone well, these recovered pieces almost never saw the light of day—and yet they’re buried with brittle and bumpy industrial shards that slice right through the core. Subdued and fleeting melodies shift and shimmer as beat patches erode and fall apart. Synchronization appears to be fully intact, however, impacting the listener with audible corrosion that seemingly recombines—at times drenched in rhythm and harmonic flux, the balance between these disparate elements allows Onepointwo to expand his sonic signature, all the while delving further outside Earth’s atmosphere.
