A smoldering five-piece suite of deconstructed electronics from the upper atmosphere, merged together succinctly by a mastermind of the scene.
Mysterious glitches, echoes, and static noise
Crunchy soundscapes and ambient motifs surround Mitoma’s latest extended player, PentadEP. Five connected versions of mysterious glitches, echoes, and static noise tangle with industrial tropes, especially on the opening track “Pentad01.” And as “Pentad02” takes shape, it provides further melodic brushes and piercing beats that ricochet against darker spaces. “Pentad03” goes deep into battered industrial glitch drawing all the loose bits into a cohesive and chaotic whole. “Pentad04” traverses more rhythmic, technoid patterns as it dangles processed layers just above frenetic beat pulses. Closing with the melodic veils of its siblings, “Pentad05” begins its gradual descent as it slows everything down. Dark ambient soundtrack segments loop, twist, and diminish into microscopic strands until nothing is left but skeletal remains fading in the background. A smoldering five-piece suite of deconstructed electronics from the upper atmosphere, merged together succinctly by a mastermind of the scene.
