Generic Meds :: Subnautics Vol.1 EP (Self Released)

In the twelve minutes that make up this three track EP, Generic Meds discovers world sounds, deep ambient downtempo, and chilled atmospheres.

Electronic music for relaxation, Subnautics Vol.1 is produced by Spokane, Washington-based Jamaican American producer Nick Sherman (aka Generic Meds.) In the twelve minutes that make up this three track EP, Generic Meds discovers world sounds, deep ambient downtempo, and chilled atmospheres on the opening track, “Perception of Depth.” It’s the sort of retreat to calmer soundscapes essential for relaxation. The tranquilized final piece “Nauticology” slips into the darkness, gently holding our hand as the sun sets below the horizon. “The Storm” continues on a parallel trajectory, its rhythms sweeping through subtle synth washes and melodic textures ultimately claiming Subnautics Vol.1 as an ethereal and calming EP from the outer edges.
