Bleip :: +1 (Sound Silent, CD)

Imagine what would happen if a population of intergalactic aliens transformed into cybernetic robots on planet Earth. Now, take this community of alien-turned-machines and give them a name: Bleip might be the best way to describe it. Otherworldly beings with digital sound clips that form a language comprised of wires, amplifiers and colorful lights all housed in a polished aluminum case. These are the same beings that deliver electrical sound bytes molded to obtuse melodies, fading 8-bit rhythms and snapping beat work that sizzles with finesse.

But the question remains, are there any emotions associated within this community of futuristic beings roaming aimlessly upon planet Earth? Well, it might not seem apparent on the outside, but there is sure to be some kind of digital juice flowing within the components of +1. These components are the digital sound-box elements that cause others to react including “Iqio,” “More,” “Desk,” “No,” “Freaky Dsco,” Oscal,” and “Clicks.” Within each of these components is a unique vibe, a precise electronic pulse that makes Bleip it’s own entity both as a societal whole and functional product.

Almost as if creating its own universal language, deconstructed sounds veer inside and out, while the community of Bleip functions perfectly as a collection of its pieces. Robotic electronic sound is simply their means to communicate with each other. At times these cohesive digital pulses may seem slightly abnormal, but it’s definitely important to document the history of these beings by creating a historical imprint with the use of a circular compact disc. Thanks to the French Sound Silent Advanced Electronic Music Network, Bleip are now well represented for humans of this day and age to digest, consume, and transcribe. Should they figure out the code to the secret world of Bleip, then they will surely be thankful when +1 is the mathematical answer.
