With Bitwise‘s latest offering, the listener can assimilate all of the above, however, several genres are effortlessly glued together creating fully-rounded pieces of sonic work. Each of the dozen featured tracks unravel a creative spirit—an intersection of bleeps and blips that segue smoothly among distinctive melodies, basslines and churning rhythms. Often treading close to hardwood dance-floors and eventually venturing through coffee-shop doors, Bitwise creates an album that will appeal to larger audiences—some of which may be content to remain firmly beneath mainstream soil. And although Bitwise manages to adhere to both above and below ground ears, Better Luck Next Time maneuvers itself left of any preconceived notions of electronic music and opts for a dose of the varietal kind. Without pigeonholing itself in one particular style, Better Luck Next Time is a balanced foray into the above-mentioned trigger-events, albeit dressed in a sheet of folktronic frequencies.
