re[Ø]load presents a focused study in kinetic fragmentation, balancing technical finesse with a visceral, bodily pull that makes its abstract architecture unexpectedly physical.

Clean Error head James (aka enabl.ed) offers a slight return with his wonderful Bearclaw alias for a third release titled re[Ø]load. The set arrives as a series of brief, clipped sketches of rhythmic tek-funk and gutter-glitch ergonomics, designed to shift perception from head to hips to feet without hesitation. Compared to his more established enabl.ed output, this material moves further into a speculative future-funk space, reducing reliance on overt melody in favor of rhythm-led theatre and sharply articulated glitch mechanics. Beats fracture, reassemble, and pivot with a kind of engineered unpredictability, giving the impression of systems briefly learning to dance before collapsing into new configurations.

The result is a tightly curated set of ideas rather than extended compositions, each track functioning as a compact template of post-IDM construction. The whole set is quite spectacular, but if in any hurry head straight to track 4 on “rel•Øad” where, as the longest piece at 4:53, we are gifted a quietly incredible example of what’s possible in an errorcore post-IDM mould: faultless mechanics expressed through soulful stutters and fractured grace. Kudos.

Overall then, what emerges is a sense of controlled excess: percussion is both functional and performative, textures are abrasive yet precise, and the structure feels like a sequence of engineered interruptions. re[Ø]load ultimately presents a focused study in kinetic fragmentation, balancing technical finesse with a visceral, bodily pull that makes its abstract architecture unexpectedly physical. Each moment feels engineered yet alive, collapsing abstraction into immediate, kinetic listening experience without losing structural clarity or punch throughout.
