On March 25th, nothings66—a residence for artists such as Ametsub and Sketches for Albinos—will release a new album titled Distant Present, the clever creation of Reykjavik-based veteran electronic musician and DJ, Ozy (Örnólfur Thorlacius). With Distant Present, Ozy delivers a deep and warm dub techno-infused blend of downtempo electronica, filled with glacial textures, spacey dynamic circulations and hypnotic repetition. The album includes new original material, plus remixes by Miles Whittaker aka Miles (Modern Love), Laurel Halo (Hyperdub), and College Drop, a young new-age producer from Japan.
