Gently brushing against shadows of sonic fury with a subtle pulse of light, Quiet is a well produced plateau of audio distractions, torn between layers of post-industrial, minimalism and gravity filled melodies.
[Download] Certainly not a quiet extended player here and one that would fit comfortably amongst Ant-Zen fodder, Miktek adheres to the bizarre and rounds off the edges with melted mechanics. Allowing strangely isolated snaps and fizzles to mold perfectly alongside rolling bass lines, these interludes gravitate next to dreamlike states of nostalgic memories from years gone by. It’s almost as if each piece compliments a new scene (perhaps by design) in this sleepy eyed vision of dark-ambient flows. The track titles evenly depict these reflective sonic-escapes (“Cell,” “Life In Reverse,” “Midnight Elements” etc.). Gently brushing against shadows of sonic fury with a subtle pulse of light, Quiet is a well produced plateau of audio distractions, torn between layers of post-industrial, minimalism and gravity filled melodies. And it is with these definitive layers that allows Miktek to weave through coma-induced vibrations without falling off the habitual ambient rim.
