Ruptured World :: Exoplanetary (Cryo Chamber)

The flowing, delicately moving contemplative soundscapes interact with ethereal melodious patterns to create one transportive musical odyssey.

Newcomer in the Cryo Chamber’s soundscaping galaxy, Ruptured World is the moniker of fantasy-fiction novels / essays Alistair Rennie, from Great Britain. I’m not familiar with this author but his sound production appears to be a nice and original addition to Cryo Chamber’s catalogue and field of musical specialization. Besides we can deliberately perceive the influence of science fiction literary world due to the abundant use of narratives and inner landscaping elements, found of introspection and liminal psychic estate. Conceptually this album explores the matrix of metaphysics, human-technical allegories, computational mind, the deep cosmical vastness and interstellar romance. The flowing, delicately moving contemplative soundscapes interact with ethereal melodious patterns to create one transportive musical odyssey. Darkly spectral and lugubrious textures alternate with softly moving and easy listening new-age space ambient. Somewhere between Iasos, Steve Roach, Biosphere, God Body Disconnect, Sleep Research Facility’s spaced out narratives and Robert Ashley’s avantgardism. A swelling, slow-moving and mellow droning atmospheric album with a nice fiction storytelling perspective.

Exoplanetary is available on Cryo Chamber.
