Samantha Grace Edwards :: Graceland (Beartown)

Puntastic title aside, this one-act sound playlet brings down a proper, dirty brick chill onto even the most clement day.

Samantha Grace Edwards :: Graceland (Beartown)

Out of a damp pedestrian underpass schwooms a braided, steely drone by the London’s Samantha Grace Edwards, opening the twenty-minute, blighted urban pastorale Graceland. Giant gong shimmer rises into a throb and fills the space. Ridges in the air heave and a growl gurgles phlegm before a crescendo builds and sweetly sings it down. A lonely rhythm pads toward a shaft of light shearing the dark like a buzzsaw. Too bright, it floods the scene and everything goes white. Puntastic title aside, this one-act sound playlet brings down a proper, dirty brick chill onto even the most clement day.

Graceland is available on Beartown.
