Roel Funcken :: Mercury Retrograde Remixes V1 (Schematic Music Co.)

In celebration of the 100th release on Schematic, the label serves up a selection of fractured remixes with tracks taken from Roel Funken’s 2012 album Mercury Retrograde.

Available on vinyl and digital, the release veers from the boombastic big synth whomp of Hecq’s take on the title track to the manic abstract electronic splinters of Julien Meer’s version of “Dialp.” And, as to be expected, Tokyo’s Ametsub delivers beyond expectation with typically low profile yet intensely sound designed work on the marvelously entitled “Boose Gumps.”

Round two of remixes is no doubt around the corner—in the meantime head across to Schematic’s Bandcamp to find out more.

Mercury Retrograde Remixes is available on Schematic Music Company.
