Mitoma :: Iso:Forms (Brainstormlab)

A collection of a dozen interplanetary electronics that range from hazy ambient sunbursts to definitive technoid slivers.

Just in time for the cold, brisk Winter weather to roll in, Mitoma unveils Iso:Forms—a collection of a dozen interplanetary electronics that range from hazy ambient sunbursts to definitive technoid slivers. Textural landscapes, abrasive sandstorms and mechanical noises decompose via digitized rhythms and low-flying basslines which scurry into dark corners. Iso:Forms displays dense sonic elements, synaptic pulses and flowing undertones while systemically pushing forth a balanced audio assault for the senses. The working title which refers to different forms of a protein that may be produced from different genes, or from the same gene by alternative splicing is precisely what Mitoma does in a musical dynamic. Veering into and out of any one particular groove, Iso:Forms melds crunchy patterns with drenched atmospheric extrusions, leaving the listener to decipher its significance. The result of such processed beauty is an album which impacts via heavily dissolved techno as it ventures into wondrous emotive complexity and otherworldy downtempo layers. Highlights comes in various shapes including “Omega Station,” “Din,” “Cascade” and “Shadowsun” yet there’s a cohesive stream of consciousness the connects each piece together.

Iso:Forms is available on Brainstormlab.
