Kaeba :: Mirrorless EP (Self-Released)

Kaeba is Gianclaudio H. Moniri—one half of Plaster whose finely sculpted electronics have recently graced a number of labels including Touchin’ Bass and Stroboscopic Artefacts.

These solus tracks were written between 2011 and 2012 and according to Gianclaudio the plan was to develop ‘something powerful but not completely dark, positive in some way but not pop and different from my main project, Plaster.’

“Mirrorless” inhabits a netherworld sound space between driving dance floor experimentation and progressive, quite trance orientated melodies which married with expertly crafted sound design make for a highly compelling and uplifting listen. Production is as smooth, refined and precise as to be expected. It’s no surprise to learn that Gianclaudio also works as a sound and mastering engineer.

The EP contains three original tracks alongside a remix from the excellent Retina.it. No slouches on the production front either so you are in for very decent audiophile listen. If you enjoyed Plaster I can safely say you will also enjoy this—all round high quality audio goods!

Mirrorless EP is available on Bandcamp.
