Dynarec :: User Input (Delsin, CD/2×12")

737 image 1Over the past year Dynarec has released two 12″ EPs – R-Cam and The Lost Souls – both through Delsin. Combining the best in German and Detroit electro with modern sensibilities, Dynarec produces tight funky tunes aimed firmly at the dancefloor. While the vinyl version of the album is cut for maximum dancefloor impact, the CD additionally includes short ambient interludes between tracks. In the same way Adult on the Ersatz Audio label take the best of indie electro-pop and update it for modern consumption, Dynarec does the same with classic electro, resulting in an accomplished album that mixes the old and new to great effect. Tracks like “Sickle,” “Need the Teacher” and “Mind to Body” bounce and blip along with infectious beats and carefree funkiness. Just for fun and by way of contrast, Dynarec throws in “Rise of the Fall,” a steadily paced track with a more melancholy mood. User Input sounds like a classic album right from the first listen, such is its sound and feel. This does not mean it sounds old or outdated, it actually sounds new and fresh but with the influence of classic electro distilled and injected with new life.

User Input is out now on Delsin Records.
