Imagine going for a nice drive through downtown Detroit on a cold winter morning –this is the entire feeling that wraps around the latest release by John Harvey (aka Dimension 5), the latest up and coming signing on the Amsterdam based Delsin Record label.

John Harvey, hailing from Cambridge (UK) spends his time operating under the ‘Dimension 5’ alias, as he forges through weaving Transmat styled rhythms, and direct yet punchy 4/4 beats on his latest (debut) EP called Control Complex. With artwork on this release similar to that of the classic Galaxy to Galaxy 12s on Underground Resistance, Dimension 5 makes a great impression on his debut release, and will surely have an impact in the soft-techno community as well.

Brightly colored and soulfully crafted electronics is compiled onto a lovely 12″ record of Detroit-based grooves packed with smart, intelligent, and well maneuvered techno. Be on the look out for this 12″ EP by Dimension 5. The soulful aquatic rhythms that Dimension 5 inhabits are that of purity and precision in all aspects of soulful music. Check Delsin. Records for sound clips for this record and other goods lined up for 2002.
