Asymmetrical Head :: Information World EP (Bewegung)

A well-balanced if not tranquil escape into subtle glitch’n bass tones peppered with microscopic ambient manipulations.

Composed in a data warehouse somewhere outside of San Diego, Will Rosario (aka Asymmetrical Head) crafts skewed electronic forms and now reemerges through Akron, Ohio’s Bewegung. “Convex Hull” maneuvers through nine subterranean minutes, droning metallic slabs dripping acidic undertones. The title track extends over seven-minutes and veers into a sort of Amber-era Autechre trough that eventually plunges itself in dub vats, snappy percussion and low-end rumbling. “Black Awareness (Live)” features neo-classical soundtrack constructs composed of nature recordings and reverberating dub echoes across a meadow as it continues to evoke downtempo frequency pitching. “A Serious Fault” is a syncopated instrumental beat workout—modular synth-sounding squabbles breath new life into charismatic and emotive ambient electronics worth the price of admission alone. A well-balanced if not tranquil escape into subtle glitch’n bass tones peppered with microscopic ambient manipulations.

Asymmetrical Head’s forthcoming Proper/Random album will also be released on Bewegung.
