Igloo Magazine is delighted to treat its readers with a very special mix from the innovative duo Piano Interrupted (Tom Hodge and Franz Kirmann).
Just a few weeks ago, Denovali has released Piano Interrupted‘s The Unified Field Reconstructed—a remix album containing seven colorful reconstructions of some of the tracks from the duo’s brilliant second album, The Unified Field (Denovali, 2013). The reconstructions were made by Franz Kirmann (the Interrupted part of the duo) himself and fellow Denovali artists Hidden Orchestra, Origamibiro, Floex, John Lemke, SaffronKeira and Second Moon of Winter. Reports say the duo is currently working on a third album, after an inspirational visit in Senegal. In the meantime, Igloo Magazine is delighted to treat its readers with this very special mix from the Piano Interrupted boys. Just as with their albums, expect the unexpected.
“We came up with the track listing for this mix during our last tour. Long drives are always a good opportunity to listen to music together and we had great fun playing tracks we like to each other. So on there you will find older pieces that are dear to our hearts at the beginning of the mix, as well as recent tracks that are rocking our boat. We have also put tracks from fellow Denovali artists that we particularly like. Hope you will enjoy this rather eclectic mix!” – Tom and Franz
